In this paper results of large scale model tests conducted at the Grosser WellenKanal (GWK) of Hannover, Germany have been employed to look for correlation between the linear transmission coefficient (Ks) of low crested rubble-mound breakwaters and some of the most important properties of the transmitted power spectral density function (PSD). As a result of our findings, a technique for approximating PSD leeward the barriers has been developed, which is based on the use of a mix of probability density functions (pdf).
