Study of the infiltration process is important in hydrology science. It is essential to measure and predict infiltration rate as a basic factor in management of water resources. The purpose of the present study was to compare the values of model-estimated final infiltration rate with measured saturated hydraulic conductivity in laboratory on soils of the Talehan Watershed, Iran. Also, some of the soil properties such as bulk density, porosity, initial moisture and organic carbon were measured. The results showed that the values of measured saturated hydraulic conductivity in laboratory were significantly more than the model-estimated final infiltration rate, in this study and selected conditions.
