An Enhanced AODV Route Protocol Applying in the Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) includes many sensor nodes. Those nodes can quickly detect the environmental parameters. In fact, the design of WSN faces a challenge of the constrained energy from the battery. Now, there are many routing protocols developed for WSN, Which are based on the energy-aware rule, but they are not so good in packet delay, energy-aware and the stability of WSN. In this paper, in order to reduce the energy consumption, two methods are proposed: 1) Used the dimidiate search arithmetic to find the most proper transmitting power for each node; 2) Use the accumulative summing method to choose the minimal power consumption route through comparing the existent routes. The proposed routing protocol is an Enhanced Ad-Hoc On-demand Distance Vector routing protocol (EAODV). The simulation shows that proposed routing scheme is better than the Ad-Hoc On-demand distance vector routing (AODV).
