摘要

The physical chemistry of aqueous processing for material surfaces is discussed from the thermodynamic viewpoint as well as the aspects of transport phenomena. The former involves applicability of Eh-pH diagrams for electroless plating, recovery of copper from motor scraps, and formation of thin films of semiconductors, and the latter concerns some aspects of electrical conductivity and diffusivities of aqueous solutions as well as the concentration boundary layer in the vicinity of substrates on which thin films are formed.
