This paper aims to present a broad picture of Hong Kong's Country Parks,focusing on their biodiversity and geodiversity. It shows that, despite its small area, the SAR has a rich ecological and geological diversity. It describes the conservation measures that have been implemented and the resulting benefits. It examines the important sustainable uses of the Parks-with their scenic,heritage,recreation and ecotourism benefits. Lastly, the paper discusses the necessary measures to better promote Hong Kong's geodiversity.
