摘要

Imogolite/TiO_2 nanocomposite was synthesized and tested as photocatalyst material. The X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy observation indicated that inter-tubular-calation between imogolite and TiO_2 was formed during synthesis. Imogolite/Ti nanocomposite can degrade methylene blue from its aqueous solution; however its photocatalytic capability is lower than physical mixing between imogolite and TiO_2 sample. Long tubular imogolite has capability to protect TiO_2 from UV irradiation and affect in its photocatalytic capacity. This kind of phenomena is very interesting and important for application of imogolite as supporting materials which has photosensitive characteristic.
