摘要

A high sensitivity of Lepidium sativum to phytotoxic substances makes it suitable for the biological tests conducted to assess the state of land and water environment. Lepidium is commonly used in tentative, quick and inexpensive phytotoxic properties of soil contaminated with heavy metals, pertrochemical compounds and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The test can also be used to assess the influence of sewage sediments, applied for remediation and agriculture purpose. The article describes the trials of applying the Lepidium test as an guidance of phytoremediation possibilities of spoil dump.
