Fibrous Monolithic Composites (FMC) are a family of materials which can be classified in the advanced composite materials category which are being investigated to provide for the replacement of structural components of contemporary materials in a wide variety of applications. The materials in this study utilize a structure where continuous, oriented fibers are placed in a polymeric matrix. Different materials are currently chosen for the FMC's fibers and binders. Due to the nature of the FMC's final structure, material properties cannot be directly determined by the properties of the components which make up the composite. This research investigates, documents, and will help predict the material properties provided by different compositions of FMC's. Specifically, fatigue failure analysis in conjunction with other well established material property testing will enable for the analysis of how fatigue will affect the stiffness of the material and how it can relate to the individual component materials.
