Many drivers are affecting the growth of pre-engineered membrane bioreactor (MBR) systems. The case studies presented in this paper demonstrate how cost, footprint, permeate quality, aesthetics, potable water reduction and the flexibility to move the wastewater treatment system were key to their selection process.
