Easy Robot Cell Programming by Plug'n' Produce Integration of Simple Automation Devices

Today, small and medium enterprises can hardly benefit from modern automation technology as its set up and maintenance is too cost intensive. Within the EU-project SMErobot a Plug'n'Produce concept was developed and demonstrated that enables to easily install and modify robot application solutions. This article illustrates our concept of Plug'n'Produce as well as its integration into lead-through programming exemplarily on a simple test bed set up.
