Semantic Web service matchmaking is the process of searching the space of possible matches between demands and supplies, and finding the best available ones. To achieve this, the semantic Web service matchmaking framework is one of the absolutely necessary components of service oriented architecture. This paper introduces semantic condition expression which is designed to describe the semantic Web service matchmaking condition, and semantic operator which is designed to extract semantic meaning of semantic condition expression, transform it into general condition expression according to the semantic meaning of condition expression. The usage of them for semantic Web service matchmaking process is also described in this paper. By representing the semantics of user’s query condition, the matchmaker enables the behavior of an intelligent agent to approach more closely than that of a human user trying to locate suitable Web service resources.
