3D GRAPHENE FOR ENERGY CONVERSION AND STORAGE

摘要

Experimental demonstration of graphene created a new era for layer materials.[1] As the first generation, a graphene was supported on a substrate by mechanical cleavage,[1] epitaxial growth,[2] and chemical vapor deposition.[3] However, its practical applications require free-standing graphene sheets without a substrate. Therefore, current attention is focused on the synthesis of three-dimensional graphene, which is considered as the second generation graphene.[4- 12] Very recently, we developed novel approaches for the synthesis of 3D graphene with controlled shapes (Fig.1). The 3D graphene sheets exhibited excellent performance as counter electrode material for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).[13]
