A ZVS BASED LLC-TYPE SERIES-RESONANT HALF-BRIDGE DC-DC CONVERTER

This paper presents LLC series-resonant half-bridge DC - DC converter. Increasing the frequency of operation of power converters is desirable, as it allows the size of circuit magnetic and characteristics to be reduced, leading to cheaper and more compact circuits. This circuit is characterized by zero voltage switching (ZVS) that results in higher efficiency. Possibility to incorporate higher switching frequency and has some potency to reduce switching losses. Resonant transition converters are characterized by low switching losses and low conduction losses. Power factor improvement and high efficiency is achieved with a constant output voltage and is regulated by using closed loop control and the simulation results for the converter is presented.
