Natural ester are fire-resistant and environmental-friendly liquid dielectrics, which offer excellent electrical and physiochemical properties and have been successfully used in distribution transformers. The paper presents electrical aging characteristics of natural ester oil-paper insulation with different temperature or moisture content. The results show that the equivalent breakdown field strength and characteristic lifetime of natural ester oil-paper insulation decrease with increase of temperature or moisture content in insulating paper.
