摘要

A transmitter converts data in the form of digital impulses, voices, or images into electromagnetic (EM) waves in the radio spectrum. In recent years, as wireless communication has been progressively becoming ubiquitous, CMOS implementation of integrated RF transmitters prevails over traditional discrete component counterparts [1, 3]. This paper reviews the design specifications, possible system architectures and important circuit blocks of a CMOS RF transmitter. Two design examples are also discussed.
