15-inch RGBW OLED TV Using White OLED and 15-inch RGB Using Fine Metal Mask Technology

We fabricated 11-inch HD panel employing the two-stacked WOLED and color filter, which color gamut is up to 101.2% (C1E1976) and power consumption is 5.22W at 320 cd/m~2, 9000K. Where white device exhibits current efficiency of 61.3 cd/A and 30 Im/W of power efficiency at 1000 nit and its C1E coordinate is (0.340, 0.334). 15-inch RGBW panel was investigated to verify the electrical and optical performance compared to 15-inch RGB TV which was made by FMM. The characteristic of 15-inch RGBW panel are competitive to that of 15-inch RGB. We suggest that color filter with white OLED is a possible patterning technology for large-sized OLED TV which surpasses the limit of fine metal mask technology.
