SCR performance is dependent on a number of parameters based on design criteria for a particular boiler. These factors will vary with operating conditions, particularly during transient conditions. These parameters below, affect the Actual Stoichiometric Ratio which is used to establish the reagent usage. Flue Gas Temperature Flow Rate Residence Time Catalyst Activity Allowable Ammonia Slip Uncontrolled NO_x Values This presentation reviews the measurement technique by fast response close - coupled monitoring as an option for improving efficiency of the SCR with the ability to achieve a better degree of control, by fast, accurate measurement of the uncontrolled NO_x (Inlet) and reduced NO_x (Outlet) without any NH_3 Slip. Applying these values to the feed forward/feedback control in which injection amount of the reagent is determined, this technique can be used to reduce NH3 slip while maintaining the source emissions limit.
