Historical Development of Signalling Power Supply and Future Regulation (PPT)

摘要

This lecture will review the historical development of power supplies for signalling systems and identify those aspects of design that have remained constant from the outset to the present time. It will reflect on how those aspects have been brought to prominence for railway signalling over the last decade and consider how the design process might be developed for the future. It will consider the status of design and the underpinning philosophy leading to current practice and suggest how this might now be able to become more intrinsically linked to the UK's electrical regulatory framework.
