摘要

Due to constantly decreasing development time combined with simultaneously increasing requirements with respect to the noise and vibration comfort, there is a growing demand for achieving reliable information regarding the NVH quality of new developed combustion engines as early as possible. Taken into account future legislative limits in the EU with respect to emissions and their effects on the excitation behaviour of new developed gasoline and diesel powered vehicles, this demand will become increasingly important. A method, completely working in the time domain, is presented which allows for synthesizing the vehicle interior noise and vibrations based on simulated excitation data of a not yet existing engine and the knowledge of the acoustic transfer behaviour of the vehicle. This method is on the one hand referring to the application of the Binaural Transfer Path Analysis and Synthesis (BTPA/BTPS), which enables the user to predict the vehicle interior noise and vibration behaviour based on measured excitation data of a new engine during test bench operation and thus without the need of implementing it into a real vehicle. Furthermore the method refers to an acoustic driving simulator that is featuring interactive playback of the synthesized data within a context related environment and thus allowing a comprehensive judgement. In case the new engine is not yet existent it is also possible to include simulated data that describe the NVH related excitation behaviour into the sound synthesis. Doing so, it is most important to ensure a correct synchronisation of the simulated and measured data with respect to their phase relation. Thus the combination of the described methods and tools enables the user to realistically judge the vehicle interior sound and vibration even for not existing engines. The described procedure enables the engine developer at a very early stage of the development process to improve the NVH behaviour and especially to exactly match the transfer behaviour of the vehicle to the excitation behaviour of the source.
