摘要

Cyanidation process, nowadays, is widely used in gold mining industry despitesome crucial disadvantages. Cyanide reagent is toxic with exposure average limit of5mg/m3. Moreover, there is a limitation of a minimum concentration of Au in ore of 0.9g/tduring the leaching process, which means that below this concentration the cyanidationmay not be feasible. From this point of view, an alternative, cheap, non-toxic and efficientmethod for leaching should be found. Ammonium thiosulfate is the cheapest and harmlessleaching reagent, compared to other alternative reagents such as, thiourea, bromide, iodineand thiocyanate.
