LED-luminaires: Lower cost of ownership in refrigerated display cases

In this article the use of solid state luminaires, using light-emitting-diodes, is considered as a replacement for fluorescent or halogen lighting in retail displays. The key operating parameters are evaluated, and the potential cost savings are quantified.
