This study is about how to determine the stacking location appropriately according to the situation of the yard when the yard cranes stack the container on the block in the automated container terminal. We propose an improved method of stacking container, better than one of the precedent studies based on policies. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, block simulation was performed in a vertical container terminal environment, and the results show that the proposed method performs better than the precedent method.
