摘要

Vehicle emissions development is a costly and time-consuming process, with numerous iterations in emissions laboratory. Besides the high cost of such tests, the limitation on the availability of that resource may be a serious obstacle to development timing. The objective of this study is to perform statistical comparisons between the second-by-second modal analysis of emissions laboratory analyzers, and the voltage signal of a heated exhaust gas oxygen sensor placed downstream of the catalyst, in order to assess the usage of such sensor as an auxiliary tool to calibrate closed-loop fuel control, aiming NO{sub}x tailpipe emissions, out of the laboratory.
