Chemical interactions, process stability, validation, traceability, scalability - the pharmaceutical world is full of difficulties and not many materials and equipments are ready to face the continuous challenges that come out from that.The typical result is a slow down of developments or even the impossibility to give a future to wonderful scientific discoveries.The pumping of the raw material, an apparently simple part of the process hides many difficulties that if not faced accurately can jeopardize the whole process and the whole feasibility of the product. The forming, the compounding, the handling of the end product can be even worse and in that case it is frequently necessary to develop specific equipments. Of course customisation can create exclusivity, but not necessarily excellence. For sure there will be neither excellence nor exclusivity if the customisation is a simple reinvention of standard equipment.
