A Theoretical Framework for the Inter-Organizational Knowledge Collaboration of Knowledge Network

The achievement of cross-organizational knowledge collaboration is the core goal of knowledge network management, and it is also the advanced stage of the operating mechanism evolution of the knowledge network. This paper investigates the issue of inter-organizational knowledge collaboration within knowledge networks from the perspective of knowledge chain, and proposes a theoretical knowledge collaboration framework including three aspects: synergistic opportunity search, knowledge resources flow and generation of synergistic effect. Specifically, knowledge collaboration stems from a new search for collaborative opportunities or a rematch of conflicting relationships, and knowledge collaboration requires high-level interactive learning across organizational boundaries, in order to realize knowledge creation. The generation of synergistic effect depends on the knowledge transformation produced by different knowledge subjects in knowledge interaction environment. When the knowledge creation reaches a certain threshold level, the synergistic effect system of "1+1 >2" emerges, ultimately leading to the knowledge collaboration.
