The evaluation of process capability of multiple quality characteristics based on probability of unqualified products

The process of producing products determines their quality. The guarantee for products' quality can be judged by evaluating the producing process. With the increase in the complexity of products and the advancement of automation, the producing process has been more and more characterized in quality, and these qualities may be related to each other. Thus, it is far from enough to evaluate the process capability of a single vital quality characteristic, and several problems may be brought up by simply using unitary process capability index (PCI) of one quality characteristic in multivariate quality characteristic process capability evaluation, such as not much evaluative significance of index, higher accuracy requirement of data and so on. This paper aims to propose means of evaluation on multiple quality characteristics of process capacity based on probability of qualified products.
