Undergraduate Research Through Creative Inquiry at Clemson

At Clemson University all types of creative student activities are subsumed by the rubric "Creative Inquiry". This includes research, performance, and engineering projects, and is intended to provide a broad structure within which baccalaureate programs may enrich out-of-class experiences for their students. This paper describes how creative inquiry is implemented through curricular requirements in industrial engineering, and how this structure expands the prospects of involving undergraduate students in research.
