At the closing of the last century Ronald Rivest published one of his less popular papers "Chaffing and Winnowing", Two years later Mihir Bellare and Alexandra Boldyreva analyzed the particular procedure, with mixed results. Twenty years later Rivest core idea attracts new attention, in light of the emerging technology of quantum-grade randomness on a chip, and fast Internet throughput. A host of published ciphers exploit Rivest's idea to increase at will the cryptanalytic work function needed to compromise their content. This notion is quite impactful because it allows the user, the data owner, to determine how much security to project upon her or his data. Today's crypto users rely on a corporate vendor to design and build the cipher they use to achieve privacy. Does this cipher have a side door for government snooping? Using modern chaffing and winnowing tools, users will write their own security ticket. We point to ciphers, which can use chaffing and winnowing to achieve terminal cryptanalytic equivocation.
