Brian Miller graduated from the University of Wisconsin -Madison in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree Civil and Environmental Engineering. Brian has been with AISC since 1998 and joined the AISC Certification team in July of 2005 to serve as Manager of Certification Standard Development. His primary focus is on efforts by AISC to develop quality standards that contribute to the quality of fabricated and erected structural steel and make structural steel the material of choice for owners, designers and contractors. AISC, headquartered in Chicago, is a not-for-profit technical institute and trade association established in 1921 to serve the structural steel design community and construction industry in the United States. AISC's mission is to make structural steel the material of choice by being the leader in structural-steel-related technical and market-building activities, including: specification and code development, research, education, technical assistance, quality certification, standardization, and market development. AISC has a long tradition of more than 80 years of service to the steel construction industry providing timely and reliable information.
