The Prospects of Production and Application of Seamless and Welded Pipes and Tubes with Protective Coating in Different Branches of Ukrainian Economy

The competitive advantages of steel pipes at domestic and world markets greatly depend on their operational qualities and, first of all, on whether they have protective coating or not. In this respects the pipes that are manufactured in Ukraine are considerably inferior to foreign ones. Pipe manufacturing and consuming structures that have formed in Ukraine are characterised by unreasonably high share of unprotected steel pipes and, correspondingly, the insufficient production and use of pipes with protective coatings (about 7% of total production volume).
