A Low Cost, High Resolution Method to View Through Turbid and Blackwater Conditions

Today, yesterday, and for a millennia, in turbid water conditions, the diver could not see anything but a haze of silt, oil, mud. By today's means, his sensory inputs are limited to touch - slow, ambiguous, and potentially dangerous, and through the use of synthesized sonar and thermal imagery reproduction. Sonar and thermal imagery are great tools for what they were designed to do, but the still lack the high resolution needed for detail work, or color imagery examination of corrosion, and meeting the U.S. Coast Guard requirements for periodic hull and freighter inspections.
