PRIVATE EQUITY FINANCING FOR OFFSHORE WIND FARMS DURING IMPLEMENTATION PHASE - (PPT)

摘要

Especially in view of financial crisis and offshore wind farms with the need of higher finance volume new mechanisms must be developed to get access to investors. This paper presents a new possibility to finance wind farms which need a huge finance volume during the planning and implementation phase. The idea is to initiate a private equity fund where institutional investors can take part at attractive returns of large portfolios of offshore wind farms. This model closes the financing gap between the development after the granted approvals and the implementation to the turnkey operating wind farm.
