摘要

An important stage of the micrositing and wind resource analysis process is the long-term extrapolation of in-site measured data. Statistical regression techniques are commonly employed when reference station data are available. However, the obtained regressions could add more distortion and inhomogeneities rather than providing the missing interannual climate resource variability into the short-term windmast data. Moreover, it is not always possible to find a long-term reference station that satisfies the required degree of quality and spatial representativity. If data is a problem, because either not available or not reliable, an alternative to contour this problem is to synthesis the long-term data for that particular site with a reliable high resolution model that could inject the whole scale of atmospheric circulations affecting the site all over the long-term period.
