A Force Directed Macro Cell Placement Tool

摘要

Macro cells are used more and more in current designs as they provide the benefit of reusability directly resulting in a decrease of design time and cost. However, there lies a gap in the EDA industry for macro-cell placement tools. This chapter looks at the implementation of a force-directed macro-cell placement tool that is been developed to target the gap in industry.
