Vegetation dynamics from multi-scale remote sensing observations: examples from moorland, grassland and deciduous woodland

摘要

The aim of the study is to assess the potential for using digital cameras to monitor vegetation dynamics in a range of UK habitats, specifically grassland, woodland and upland heather. Data from digital cameras at Wytham Wood, Oxfordshire and Moor House, Upper Teesdale are used to quantify vegetation greenness changes over multi-year time-scales. In addition, for Moor House, methods are developed to quantify flowering abundance of heather, buttercup and speedwell.
