The manufacture of aspherical molds and freeform surfaces is well established in the industry. Freeform mirrors and molds have reportedly been manufactured to accuracies in the submicron range [1]. However, once such molds are used for replication processes (e. g. injection molding) the produced lenses show process dependent defects, mainly shrinkage [2, 3]. Currently, the occurring shrinkage cannot be predicted with sufficient accuracy, hence the form of the mold has to be corrected iteratively to adjust the optical function of the lens [4].
