(259)EXPERIENCES WITH NEW ONLINE SIMULATOR SERVICES INPROBLEM BASED LEARNING IN SKILLS UPGRADING PROCESSES

摘要

This article reports ongoing R&D work targeting development of Flash and Flex basedsimulator services that improve industrial production process training. The pedagogicalframework uses problem-based training with use of cases from industry to addressinnovations in industrial training. The services offer students and instructor’s access to anew training environment that utilizes evaluation processes where they may “play”dynamically with essential production parameters by using a “what happens if” scenario.In this way students visually understand the tolerance window occurring in real lifeproduction facilities. The simulator may from an instructional point of view, help reducingmanufacturing defects by making up alternative decision routes that may handle bothtechnical and economical production tasks.
