(1442)BUSINESS SIMULATION GAMES DURING THE SUMMER SCHOOLS– THE CASE STUDY

Decision simulation games are a kind of serious games. They are an effective method of learning whatto do in different situations. They are focused on a strongly defined, specific objective. Decisionsimulation games are a permanent element of education, especially of mangers and entrepreneurs.The game “Construction Services Market” was used during the Summer Schools in Celje (Slovenia) insummer of 2010 and 2011. This paper includes the information about game scenario and organisationof workshop for students from didactical point of view.Decision simulation games as a teaching method have many strengths as well as weaknesses. Aftereach of Summer Schools surveys were conducted among students. This paper includes results of thissurveys and students’ opinion about the simulation games as a teaching method. The analysis ofadvantages and disadvantages of games used in education is presented in this paper.
