摘要

The degradation in the performance of a wireless communication system is a serious matter to Deal with. For 99.99 % of the availability time of a communication system one requires to have the knowledge about the rain rate and corresponding attenuation levels. Various methods are available for attenuation prediction. In case of satellite communication system, for prediction of slant path attenuation, rain height is an important parameter which is highly dependent on localized conditions. The present paper, estimation of average rain height has been made by using the zenith attenuation statistics.
