Ordovician successions in South China with excellent exposures and rich faunas have been considered as potential global stratotype candidates for several series and stage boundaries. In order to support such proposals, detailed eonodont studies are essential to update taxonomy for better understanding of conodont radiation and biogeography in the region, and to achieve more precise regional correlation. The current project aims to revise the entire conodont fauna from the Hunghuayuan Formation in Guizhou.
