摘要

The fatigue life of tubular joints in offshore engineering is determined by the stress distribution along the weld toe. The stress distribution principle along the weld toe for tubular t-joints subjected to axial load is analyzed in this study. An interpolation method based on Lagrange shape function is presented to predict the stress distribution along the weld toe for tubular T-joints. The accuracy of this method is verified through comparing the result obtained from this interpolation method and the finite element results.
