摘要

Nb-doped TiO{sub}2 support in pure rutile phase with high electrical conductivity (0.83 S cm{sup}(-1)) was synthesized by a simple hydrolysis method. The synthesized support showed disordered mesoporous structure with a surface area of 35 m{sup}2g{sup}(-1). The support showed better stability than Vulcan carbon at more anodic potentials. Nanosized Pt particles were deposited by a borohydride reduction method. Pt/Nb-TiO{sub}2 catalyst showed comparable oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity and selectivity (> 95%) that of a conventional Pt/C catalyst when tested in rotating ring disk electrode (RRDE).
