A newly developed hot-dip Zn-5mass%Al alloy coated steel sheet containing small amount of Mgand Ni in the coating layer has an excellent durability and forming behaviour, beautiful surfaceappearance free from spangles and excellent corrosion resistance. Also it has blackening resistanceand weldability due to composition of the coating layer and the chromate-free conversion treatment,which meet ecological requirements for building materials, electronic appliances and so on.
