Introduction: The application of fluoro-navigation in the fixation of pelvi-acetabular fractures enhances the minimal invasive surgery in these complex fractures. The advantages of fluoro-navigation can only be fully applied with the correctly acquired fluoro-images of good quality. The standard Judet views and the pelvic series have been used as standard fluoro-images for navigation since the application of fluoro-navigation surgery. With the accumulation of the clinical experience, we would like to propose a new imaging protocol to acquire the most appropriate fluoro-images and to improve the safety of the procedures. These images with the focus centred on the true frontal and later views of the acetabulum (Fig.1). They provide better visualisation of the column volumes within the two dimensional imaging and maximise the utilisation of images in fluoro-navigation for percutaneous fixation of pelvi-acetabular fractures. It will further define the maximal safety corridor for screw passages in acetabular column and sacro-iliac fracture fixations.
