Does the Hormonal Pretreatment Before the Controlled Ovarian Hyperstlmulation Improve the Clinical Success Rate of the Treatment?

It is widely known that one of the most important factors for the success rate of assisted reproductive technology treatments is the quality of the collected oocytes. Because of this, choosing the right method of controlled ovarian stimulation (COH) is crucial. Comparative analysis of the effectiveness of the various kinds of ovulation inducting agents, GnRH-agonist + FSH and GnRH-antagonist + FSH, shows no significant difference among them.This data led us to theorize that the egg quality following the COH might be determined at an earlier stage, at the beginning. We conducted a controlled prospective study to investigate whether the hormonal pretreatment before the COH improves the clinical success rate of the treatment or not.
