Advanced adhesion technology must be needed to improve due to marvelous progress in display industry. Especially, UV and heat, dual-curable seal materials (sealant) for LCD panel are very important because they directly contact on the liquid crystal. In many LCD panels, sealant made of heat curing epoxy resin that is superior in tensile strength and humidity resistance is used as a sealant to cement two substrates together. However, a positional shifting occurs because of thermal expansion between the TFT substrate and the color filter substrate due to the sealant requires UV irradiation and high temperature for curing [1]. There are many efforts to reduce shrinkage of acrylate oligomers/monomers blends after UV irradiation [2].Epoxy acrylate oligomers suitable for use in UV and thermal curing systems, command the largest use in the market place and are typically used in applications ranging paper and card overprint varnishes, wood coatings, screen and lithographic inks and solder resist inks for printed circuit boards [3,4]. Epoxy acrylate noted for adhesive properties, flexibility, non-yellowing, hardness, and chemical resistance [5]. The epoxy backbone promotes toughness and flexibility to cured films whilst the carbon-carbon and ether bonds of the same improve the chemical resistance [6]. The reaction with an acid produces hydroxyl groups introducing polarity which can improve adhesive and pigment wetting properties.
