The balloon-type pneumatic actuator [1] has been proposed, the development of this actuator is advancing as the miniaturization is easy and the driving efficiency is high compared with past pneumatic actuators. The mechanism for this actuator has been previously proposed. However, the relationship between the generation stroke and the compressed air that is the driving force has not been modeled until now. In this study, we propose a novel method to design a balloon-type pneumatic actuator made from silicon rubber. First, we examined the model of a balloon-type pneumatic actuator. Next, the validity of the proposed model was evaluated through experimentation.
