Development of semi-natural agro-ecosystems

摘要

An initial agronomic design of a semi-natural agro-ecosystem was discussedwith stakeholders working on biodiversity development in agriculture. Theyadvised to use the three Ps of sustainability (People, Planet and Profit) to developan integrated sustainable design and a society study was carried out to improvethe design regarding societal needs. In consultation with the stakeholders,research questions were developed to test the semi-natural agro-ecosystem forsystem performance with respect to these three aspects. These research questionsresulted in experiments that are currently being carried out. A summary of theresults of the society study and some preliminary results of these experiments arepresented in this paper.
