Indian Phosphates - Situation Update and its Future Outlook

The agri growth which started in year 2003-04,continued into 2004-05.Both fertilizer consumption and food grain production recorded higher highs compared to that in 2003-04.Total nutrient consumption recovered from 16.79 mn mt in 2003-04 to 18.39 mn mt in 2004-05 recording a growth rate of 5%.Further the trends in the current year so far indicate that year 2005-06 may turn out to be better both in terms of fertilizer consumption and food grain production.
