The quest of scientists and engineers to find alternative ways of producing liquid motor fuels other than by processing crude oils originates from the shortage of oil resources and supplies in the fast growing economies in some parts of the world in the last century.A great prospect has opened up by the synthesis of hydrocarbons from simple feedstock containing carbon and hydrogen-requisites for the hydrocarbonaceous composition of liquid motor fuels.
